"Best Damn Trivia Night Ever" is how the organizers of this event at the Parlor Live performance space at the back of Parlor Billiards in downtown Bellevue are billing it. Certainly it's one of the Seattle area's most well-paying trivia nights ever, at least, as befits the setting (the third floor of the glitzy new Lincoln Square retail and entertainment complex, home to the hip Lucky Strike Lanes and the luxurious Lincoln Square Cinemas). At $10 per person, it's far from cheap to play, but the money comes back in the form of an eye-popping $200 prize for the 1st place team and $100 for 2nd, with even more possible if a lot of people are playing. The atmosphere is that of an over-the-top Who Wants to Be a Millionaire-type spectacle, with subsidiary prizes like hats, shirts, comedy show tickets, etc. given for awards like "Team With Best Name" and "Losing With Style." 5/09
